As part of its 5th edition, the Films Femmes Afrique festival in partnership with the Esprit Ciné Association is organizing the Kino Linguère: intensive training in the diverse areas of cinema, reserved exclusively for women.
The call for participation was open to any woman whether as a profession or a hobby, in the film, audiovisual, arts and communication sectors.
The fourteen women who were selected will participate in residence, free of charge in a 9-day cinema training workshop, in Dakar, from 21 February to 01 March, 2022.
This workshop will consist of several theoretical modules taught by film professionals: direction, production, camera and light, sound, editing, script and two days of filming. Hence, the participants will pitch their film idea at the beginning of the training session from which two films will be selected, developed and produced in two teams. Each participant will occupy a position on the team and will receive a certificate of participation.
The films will be screened avant-premier at the closing ceremony of the festival on 05 March, 2022 at 16h30 at the CanalOlympia Teranga.
Throughout the year the Esprit Ciné association organizes Kino Kabarets, intensive training in the production of short films, after which screenings are held of the works produced.
Kino Teranga is the Senegalese cell of Kino, an international movement of independent filmmakers, film enthusiasts and professionals, who meet in different cities around the world to make films together in a few days.

Dans le cadre de sa 5ème édition, le festival Films Femmes Afrique en partenariat avec L’Association Esprit Ciné organise le Kino Linguère : une formation intensive aux métiers du cinéma réservée exclusivement aux femmes.
L’appel à participation a été ouvert à toute femme professionnelle ou amateure dans les secteurs du cinéma, de l’au- diovisuel, des arts, de la communication.
