La cinéaste, elle-même née sous X, dévoile, par l’intime, la réalité de l’adoption internationale dans un film aussi puissant que nécessaire.

 
"Anne-Charlotte, Joohee, Céline, Niyongira, Mathieu ont entre 25 et 52 ans. Originaires du Brésil, du Sri Lanka, du Rwanda, de Corée du Sud ou d’Australie, les protagonistes du film partagent une identité commune : celle de personnes adoptées. Séparé·es dès l’enfance de leurs familles et pays d’origine, ils et elles ont grandi dans des familles françaises. Leurs récits de vie nous entraînent dans une histoire intime et à la fois politique de l’adoption internationale."

The filmmaker herself born under X, reveals through personal experiences in a film that is at the same time powerful and necessary, the reality of international adoption.

"Anne-Charlotte, Joohee, Céline, Niyongira, Mathieu are between the ages of 25 and 52. Their birthplaces from Brazil, Sri Lanka, Rwanda, South Korea, Australia, the protagonists of the film share a identity in common: that of a person that was adopted.

 

Separated from their families and country of origin as a child, they grew up in French families. Their lived experiences take us into a story at the same time intimate and political, of international adoption.
