Description
A prayer does nothing towards their perdition, the traveler and her shadow make their way through the intersection of the images and voices encountered on the way--formed and deformed as they advance. The apparitions--each of which provides an opportunity to stop, take time to look, to listen, before continuing on one's way. With only memories that at the present seem so distant, as if coming from another time--from childhood, of our childhood.

La prière ne faisant rien à leur perdition, le voyageur et son ombre se frayent un chemin au croisement d’images et de voix rencontrées sur la route qui se forment et se déforment à mesure qu’ils avancent. Autant d’apparitions qui sont chacune une occasion de s’arrêter un temps, de jeter un coup d’œil ou de tendre l’oreille avant de reprendre leur marche. Avec pour seuls repères des souvenirs si anciens qu’ils paraissent maintenant venir d’un autre temps, celui de l’enfance, de notre enfance.

Having completed her studies in cinema and philosophy in Paris, Baya Medhaffar began as actress before turning to directing. She was assistant to Jilani Saadi for the film Bidoun 4 and was part of the selection committee of Gabes Cinema Fen

Diplômée en cinéma et en philosophie à Paris 8, Elle commence en tant qu’actrice avant de se tourner vers la réalisation. Elle a été l’assistante de Jilani Saadi pour son film « Bidoun 4 » et a fait partie du comité de sélection de Gabes Cinema Fen.
