Synopsis
Twenty-five-year-old Dalia, a fake blonde, depressed and overweight, is a former reality star. She tries to reconnect with her estranged mother who tells her that she no longer recognizes her. Deeply hurt, Dalia accepts the role in a new TV show on the condition that she loses weight. But the more her agent Coco attempts to transform her into the bimbo of her past, Dalia's repressed Algerian origins resurface in the form of nightmares and hallucinations.
Ex-bimbo de télé-réalité, Dalia, vingt-cinq ans, est au bout du rouleau. Déprimée et en surpoids, la fausse blonde d’origine algérienne tente de renouer le contact avec sa mère qui finit par lui balancer qu’elle ne la reconnaît plus depuis très longtemps. Blessée, Dalia accepte la nouvelle émission que lui propose Coco, son agent, à condition qu’elle retrouve sa taille de guêpe. Mais plus l’agent fantasque s’acharne à faire d’elle la bimbo d’antan, plus les origines algériennes refoulées de Dalia refont surface sous forme de cauchemars et d’hallucinations.
Bio
Born and raised in Paris, and with a Master's degree in cinema in hand, Holy Fatma traveled the world--including working in Hollywood as a decorator. Through her experiences, she creates her visual universe which reflects her extravagance: a world populated by strange and endearing characters, influenced by the works of Fellini, Burton or Todd Browning.
Her first short film, Please Love Me Forever, received awards at numerous festivals around the world, including the Best Short Film Award at the Screamfest in Los Angeles.
Née et grandie à Paris, Holy Fatma fait le tour du monde avec un master cinéma en poche. Elle finit par travailler à Hollywood comme décoratrice. Par ses expériences, elle crée son univers visuel qui reflète son extravagance : un monde peuplé de personnages étranges et attachants, influencés par les œuvres de Fellini, Burton ou Todd Browning.
Son premier court-métrage, Please Love Me Forever, a reçu des prix dans de nombreux festivals à travers le monde, y compris le prix du meilleur court-métrage au prestigieux Screamfest de Los Angeles.
