The purpose of the African Women in Cinema Blog is to provide a space to discuss diverse topics relating to African women in cinema--filmmakers, actors, producers, and all film professionals. The blog is a public forum of the Centre for the Study and Research of African Women in Cinema.

The London Feminist Film Festival is committed to supporting women filmmakers, getting women’s stories out there, and encouraging discussion/ activism on feminist issues.

Films by women directors from around the world, of any year, genre, or length.



The call for submissions for 2018 is open until 15 May 2018.

ELIGIBILITY FOR LFFF | CRITÈRE D'ADMISSIBILITÉ

Women directors from any country may enter. In the case of multiple directors, all should be women.
Les réalisatrices de tous les pays sont invitées à s’inscrire. En cas de plusieurs réalisatrices pour un film, toutes doivent être des femmes.

Films should deal with feminist issues and/or be feminist in their representation of women.
Les films doivent traiter les questions féministes et/ou avoir une approche féministe sur la représentation de la femme.

Films can be of any length or genre, and from any year.
Tous genres, toutes dates de création, toutes durées peuvent être présenter.

Non-English language films should be presented in English-subtitled versions.
Les films qui sont dans les langues d’autres que l'anglais doivent être sous-titré en anglais.

You should be able to provide a Blu-Ray or DVD for screening purposes via post if your film is selected for LFFF 2016.
Si votre film est sélectionné pour LFFF 2016, vous devrez envoyer pour la projection une copie en DVD ou Blu-ray par la poste.
