Synopsis

Amina et sa famille ont fui la ville pour échapper à son ex compagnon Josh et au regard de honte de leur communauté patriarcale, mais Josh les retrouve. Le père d'Amina, M. Saleh invite à dîner un autre prétendant, Omar, un chef de village pour se débarrasser de sa fille. 

Amina and her family have fled the city to escape her former partner Josh, and the stamp of shame from their patriarchal community; but Josh finds them. Amina's father, Mr. Saleh, invites another suitor, Omar, a village chief to dinner, as a plan to get rid of his daughter.

Biographie | Biography

Dorothy A. Atabong est née et a grandi au Cameroun et a fait ses études au Canada et aux Etats-Unis. Elle a obtenu un Bachelor en Biochimie dans le Michigan avant de changer de côte et d'obtenir un diplôme en Arts Dramatiques à la Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre à New York. A 19 ans elle publie son roman La Princesse de Kaya qu'elle adapte ensuite en pièce de théâtre. Sound of tears est son premier film.

Dorothy A. Atabong was born and raised in Cameroon and studied in Canada and the United States. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biochimistry in Michigan, and upon changing her career interest she obtained a degree in Dramatic Arts at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York. Sound of Tears is her first film.
