Ashley Kriel was a South African freedom fighter who grew up in a working-class family and came to be recognized as the icon of the 1980s youth resistance. The documentary is an intimate portrayal of this son, brother and revolutionary.

Action Kommandant est un long métrage documentaire sur vie d’un combattant de la liberté en Afrique du Sud, Ashley Kriel. Ashley a grandi dans une famille d'ouvrier, et est devenu l'icône de la résistance des jeunes de l'Afrique du Sud dans les années 1980. Le film est un portrait intime de ce révolutionnaire.
